Golf Tips For 2019

Thursday, December 20, 2018

US Hole In One would love to help you become a better golfer in 2019. With the rules of golf changing January 1st (more than 30 changes to the rules of golf), we want to make sure your game is at its peak no matter how drastic the change may be. Below we have listed a few tips you  can take into the new year to improve your golf game.

  1. Practice makes perfect. Go to practice green to train on your distance, and remember for each distance the placement of your putter head at the end of the backswing.
  2. There is no doubt that you will get better at golf by improving your body and mind. Spend some time in the gym to build strength and pick up some books to improve your skills as well.
  3. Make positive changes to some of your fundamentals, like your grip or stance. You do not have to be at the course or on the range. You can also practice in your home and use soft practice balls in the house.
  4. Playing other sports is a great way to get better at golf. Whether it’s football, hockey, bowling, basketball or billiards. Playing these sports will keep your hand-eye coordination sharp.
  5. Strive to hit your shot in 20 seconds when it is your turn to play to help keep play moving at a better pace.Playing at a better pace is not about hurrying up or rushing around the course.

The last tip of course is to get hole-in-one insurance. Nothing makes a golf outing stand out more than the presence of attractive grand prizes at all of your par3 holes. This gives more golfers the incentive to play in your event. Especially with thousands of dollars at stake. We help give away a wide array of prizes so if you are thinking of giving away a custom prize, we can make it happen! Don’t hesitate to visit our website or to call us at 888-882-5440.

Your Tournament With And Without Hole In One Insurance

Friday, November 23, 2018

You may be thinking there is a slim chance an amateur will get an ace, let alone on the one hole on your tournament offering a prize. So why get Hole In One Insurance? Well such odds work in your favor when considering Hole In One Insurance, as premiums from US Hole In One can start at as little as $180.

But this is just only a fraction of the benefits your tournament will have with insurance. To anyone who has thrown a tournament without insurance in the past, knows the big difference having insurance makes. We have listed a few of those differences below:

Without Hole In One Insurance

With Hole In One Insurance

Promoting your event can be hard without contests, perks and prizes.

With hole in one insurance, your event will promote itself. You will have the option of having your golfers to compete for top cash prizes! Who wouldn’t get excited over that?
Most tournament sponsors offer such a prize knowing, or at least hoping, that it will only serve as an added draw of golfers and nobody will actually sink the ball in the cup in one shot.

However, with insurance, you will have the ability to become worry free and actually encourage your golfers to make the winning shot. There is no risk to you and the prize will be covered by us!
Without insurance, your ability to make money can be hard since the quality of your prizes are not high.

Add a rule allowing your players to be eligible to win the hole-in-one prize by contributing $1 or an amount of your choice.
You registration table can look a little bare. How about giving your golfers free gifts as soon as they register? Coverage with US Hole In One comes with free certificates for golf clubs and Worldwide Golf Shops cash cards for your golfers.

Tips: How Golfers Can Get Physically Fit

Thursday, October 25, 2018

Making a hole in one takes a good deal of luck and talent, but fitness as well. The more fit you are, the less likely you are to make a fatigue-related mistake. Golf is commonly mistaken as just a leisure activity and that golfers can never truly improve their golf game by improving their fitness. Even working out and lifting weights was said to be bad for your golf swing. But today, most golfers, if not all have a fitness regimen. Fitness is not just for the pros. Many young players now realize that being in shape is not only great for your health but thier scores. And with senior golfers, they need to work harder to maintain their strength, stamina and power. After a certain age, it’s almost impossible to make great gains in physical fitness. So no matter what age or scale you are on as a golfer, we want to share with you a few tips on how to improve your golf game. Here are a couple of basic tips to get you started:

  1. Stretching is important in all sports and golfing isn’t and exception. First thing is to loosen up your larger muscles by doing exercises like standing y’s, seated rotations or hand-walks.
  2. Cardio training is important to maintain your endurance. Opt to walk over using the cart. This will give you an extra opportunity to exercise and strengthen your legs.
  3. Exercise bands and weighted balls are used for most golf exercises. Weight training use to be taboo to the golf world but is now accepted as being beneficial to your game. Training your golf muscles will lead to better fitness and in many cases will add distance to your shots.
  4. Look for exercises that strengthen your core and torso, including moves where you twist from the waist and bend at the hips (as it mimics your golf swing).

Fitness is a serious subject that goes far beyond the golf course. The benefits will not only help your golf game but also help you feel better in general. For more information or ideas on contests for improving your golf game visit our website here.

Is Golf A Game Or A Sport

Friday, September 28, 2018

The old debate of classifying golf as a sport or just a game is just as bad as the laurel vs yanny debate. Some hear yanny while others hear laurel. And same for golf – some believe its a sport others believe it’s just a game. People say that it comes down to the lack of rigorous physical activity that is needed to play. Others believe it’s due to the variations of the game and the ways that it can be played. For example, when you say you are playing mini golf, do you believe you are playing a sport or a game? Fun and leisure activities like this that surround golf has caused many to believe that it’s nothing more than a game and cannot be called a sport.

No matter what side of the fence you are on in this debate, your tournament can experience the best of both world with a little help from US Hole In One! For your pros and amatuer golfers, give them the chance to exercise the sport and play the game of golf.

In golf, like in other sports, there is a correlation between physical training and improved performance. With US Hole In One, we can help improve your golfers performance, by giving them the opportunity to train to win top cash prizes and getaways! A Straightest Drive or Longest Drive or Closest To The Pin contest is the perfect way to have your golfers focus on strategy, balance, flexibility, posture, core stability, strength, power, and cardiovascular training. Like other sports, playing golf can lead to problems in the lower back, elbow, wrist, hand, shoulder, or head. More than half of professional golfers have had to stop playing because of their injuries. So holding contests as a way for training for the sport will be appreciated by your golfers.

The game of golf can be enjoyed through countless ways. Let’s face it – golf is a fun activity that can be played by both young and old. Playing the game of golf through a contest like a hole-in-one, putting, or shootout is a fun-filled way of having your golfers loosen up and not take the game too serious. With US Hole In One, we offer contest coverage to assume the risk associated with offering a valuable prize. When you get coverage through US Hole In One, if you have a hole in one contest winner, we become fully responsible for paying out the prizes!

Free Golf Clubs For Your Golfers

Friday, September 14, 2018

For most golfers, the only way to win some freebies would be to enter a local golf tournament to  compete to win. Scramble tournaments may also reward free clubs for in-tournament contests, such as longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt. Raffling is another way to take home some free prizes. But by getting coverage with US Hole In One, just having your golfers enter your tournament automatically awards them with a complimentary golf certificate from Warrior Custom Golf!

After purchasing coverage with us, we will send along with your signage, your free certificates. On the day of the outing, at the registration table or check-in spot, hand out a certificate to each golfer. There is no cost associated with receiving the certificates. As an event organizer or sponsor, US Hole In One is offering the certificates to you free of charge. And even though each club typically retails for much more, Warrior Custom Golf has agreed to offer them for free to your golfers. However, golfers will be responsible for a flat fee of $16.45 for the Wedge, $23.50 for the Hybrid or $36.40 for both clubs to cover the cost of professional custom fitting, packaging the club securely for shipment & sending it to the golfer’s desired mailing address.
