Now onto the news and facts. Our hole-in-one-insurance news story takes us to the ladies British Open which was played recently. Yani Tseng was the winner but on the third day of the event Becky Brewerton had a breakthrough of her own. She used her Ping 5 iron to hit a dazzling shot on the 147 yard 12th hole at Royal Birkdale. Her stroke of brilliance created a crowd pleasing moment as roars could be heard all over the course. Nice to see that the crowd got their money’s worth. What’s even more special is that this was Becky Brewerton’s first ever hole in one. Not bad!

Now onto some hole in one insurance facts/record that will make you turn your heads. The record for the most holes in one goes to Norman Manley who has made an eye popping 59 aces, according to the US Golf Register. Too bad he can’t share them with us.

Lastly, the record for the longest ever hole in one goes to Michael J. Crean of Denver, CO who aced the 517 yard par 5 9th hole at the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club on July 4, 2002. He must of hit that specially engineered ball off of a cliff!! But seriously, that is amazing. The ball flies a lot further in Colorado, but wow!
