Playing Golf In The Cold Can Be Tough

Friday, January 13, 2017

“There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad golfers.” Does this statement hold true for you?

It’s hard to part ways with your true love. That’s why some golfers try so hard to take a break from playing during the winter months, but they just can’t stop. If you’re one of these dedicated individuals — known as “all-weather golfers” — who plays in the winter, then US Hole In One is here to the rescue!

Learn how to prep your skills to play in the extreme cold.

Frost on the course may prove too slippery at times. Make sure it’s safe to play before you head out.

Know that the cold weather will shorten your drive. A good tip is to warm your ball up before you play, or play with a lower-compression golf ball.

Accept that your performance will simply be better in the summer than in the winter. It’s helpful to keep your body moving, through shivering can interfere with your game.

Playing golf in the cold can be tough, but it’s not impossible for the determined players out there! Discover more tips and details on how to play winter golf.

If you’re feeling really brave and want to sponsor a golf tournament this winter, stay safe out there. You’re in luck because we offer coverage all year round. Make it worth it for those golfers who braved the cold and get prize insurance today! Call US Hole In One at 888-882-5440 or email us at
