What Comes In Your Hole In One Insurance Package

Wednesday, February 15, 2012

Many of our customers think that when you purchase hole in one insurance from US Hole In One you just get the coverage for the grand prize hole. However, it is quite the opposite. The hole in one insurance package includes: bonus prizes for other par-3’s on the course, full color tee box signs, free golf club gift certificates, free direct shipping for signage, and no hidden policy fees.

The bonus prizes for the other par-3’s on the course are for hole in one insurance contests on those holes. Essentially with the purchase of the insurance for your grand prize hole you will also have a hole in one contest on each of the other par-3’s on the course at no extra charge. Each one of the additional holes must play 130 yards or long for the men and the ladies can play up to 15 yards closer. Those prizes will be a flat screen TV from Sharp, a set of Callaway Diablo Irons, and two roundtrip domestic airline tickets.

Full color tee box signs are also provided at no extra charge for both the grand prize hole and the other bonus par-3 prize holes. You can also put a sponsor name on the grand prize sign and/or the bonus prize signs. You can use the same name or different names and you can also use a logo if you would like to.
The free golf club gift certificates will be sent in the box with your signs and there will be enough for every golfer in your tournament. You are free to give them out at registration or put them in goodie bags if you are choosing to do those for your tournament. The golfers, if they choose to redeem the certificates, will just be responsible for paying the shipping and handing. Depending on the club that the golfer chooses, a wedge or a hybrid, the shipping is under $25.

Free direct shipping in regard to the free signs is guaranteed as long as US Hole In One receives the one page application form at least ten (10) calendar days before the tournament date. We can either ship directly to your home or business or to the golf course if that would be easier. We will ship to whichever destination is best for you.

Finally, US Hole In One offers no hidden policy fees. Any changes can be made to the policy up until the morning of the tournament. All changes must be submitted, in writing, before the tournament starts. In regard to weather, you just need to let us know by the first business day following the originally scheduled tournament date and you can reschedule without any fees.

Hole In One Insurance Witnesses Requirements:

Friday, January 13, 2012

When purchasing hole in one insurance coverage from US Hole In One it is very important that you read the terms and conditions and pay close attention to the witnesses requirements.  The number of golfers that are playing in your golf tournament and the value of your grand prize will determine the number of witnesses and whether or not you will need to videotape your hole in one insurance contest.

You will just need one person, who is eighteen years of age or older and not playing in the tournament sitting at the grand prize hole for all prizes ranging from $2,000 to $59,999.  During the rare occasion that your tournament has 24 or less golfers and your grand prize is valued at $25,000 or greater, you will be required to submit a raw, unedited videotape shot from behind the green in the event that you have a hole in one winner.

For prizes valued from $60,000 to $99,999 you will need two people who are eighteen years of age or older and not playing to act as witnesses for the grand prize hole.  One of these witnesses will need to be sitting at the tee box and the other person will need to be sitting down at the green.

For grand prizes valuing $100,000 or greater you will again need two people who are eighteen years of age or older and not playing in the tournament.  One of these witnesses however, must be a PGA Pro or a Police Officer.  One person will be stationed at the tee and the other at the green (it does not matter which spot the PGA Pro or Police Officer is stationed).  Raw, unedited videotape from is required for all shots at this prize level.

For all bonus hole in one prizes, you will just need the playing partners in the foursome to act as the witnesses at those holes. Videotaping is never required for the bonus hole in one prizes.

Hole In One Insurance Never too Early to Plan:

Monday, November 28, 2011

Many of our clients here at US Hole In One often ask us how long it takes to bind hole in one insurance.  To answer that question honestly, we can bind hole in one insurance up until the morning of a golf tournament as long as you do not need signage.  In the event that you do need signage we can always overnight the signs to you, however, there will be a nominal fee and Saturday delivery is also available.

We try to make the process very easy so that when you call in times of desperation we can get you hole in one insurance in less than thirty minutes.  So when it gets down to crunch time just remember the SIX major criteria we will need in order to get you hole in one insurance in time for tee off.  When you call into our office you will need to let your customer service representative know the following:  the number of golfers (amateurs and pros), the hole number and yardage of the par-3 hole for your Grand Prize, the name of the golf tournament, and the name of the golf course where you will be playing.  Once we have those six pieces of information along with your contact information will we email the one page hole in one insurance application right over and upon completion you can fax or email it back to us and that’s it!

Keep in mind that even though we can bind coverage very quickly it’s never too early to get started.  We have some clients that book six months in advance.  The advantage to booking at least ten calendar days in advance is that you will receive free shipping on the free hole in one insurance signs that come with your hole in one prize insurance package.

How Do I Find Out the Distance of the Hole In One Insurance Hole?

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

One of the contributing factors for pricing a hole in one insurance policy is the distance of the hole you want to put the grand prize on. Along with the number of golfers and the prize value, the distance of the hole can change the price of the hole in one insurance significantly.  If you are using a scorecard to determine the distance, first off the hole that you choose has to be a par 3 hole, these holes are the shortest on the course meaning the golfers have the best chance of hitting a hole in one on a par 3. Second the par 3 hole has to be 150 yards or greater for most grand prize values, on average most par 3’s will be around 165 – 170 yards however some can even stretch to 200 yards!

When deciding which hole to use for the hole in one insurance grand prize, if you are not familiar with the game of golf or the golf course where the tournament is being held, your best bet is to talk to the pro at the course and ask which hole he or she would recommend for the hole in one insurance prizes. The pro will let you know which holes have worked in the past and which ones he or she can push back in the case all the par 3’s are less than 150 yards. Also keep in mind that sometimes you don’t want to go solely by the scorecard especially when you are giving away a car or motorcycle that will be present at the hole during the tournament.  Since you will want the car at the hole the pro will probably suggest a hole that is closer to the clubhouse so it is easy to transport the vehicle.

If you have any questions about the yardages and how it affects the pricing give US Hole In One Insurance a call at 888-882-5440.
